What Dr. Indman's Patients Say

Is heavy bleeding controlling you?

Normal loss of menstrual blood is less than 3 ounces of blood per month.  Excessive bleeding can cause anemia and fatigue, and can interfere with everyday activities.

Do you miss work or limit your activities because of your periods?

Do you ever soak through your clothes?

Do you stay close to a bathroom during your periods?
Does bleeding limit your intimate time with your partner?

Do you need to take iron to keep from becoming anemic?

It is not normal to have your menstrual periods control your life.

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you should be evaluated for menorrhagia.
